Hello! I'm Annick Odom, a musician currently based part-time in Leuven, Belgium and Den Haag, The Netherlands.

PROJECTS
I've spent the last years exploring the place that still feels most like home, West Virginia. In my project
West Virginia, My Home, I blend music learned from WV ballad singers such as Phyllis Marks and Aunt Jenny with newly commissioned pieces by young composers and self-written work. I also play in several new music chamber groups, pop, and folk groups, including the new music collective Linen of Words, an electro-acoustic duo with Tiziano Teodori, and folk trio Sweet Joe Pye. I am involved in the free improvisation scene in The Netherlands and love collaborating with composers to create new work. In addition to performing, I teach instrumental lessons and lead workshops in the community.

EDUCATION
In 2014, I graduated from the University of Michigan with three bachelor degrees: a BM in Clarinet Performance, a BM in Double Bass Performance, and a BA in Psychology with honors. In 2018, I finished an MM in "New Audience and Innovative Practice" and the first year's coursework for the MM in "Music Education According to the Kodaly Concept" at the Koninklijk Conservatorium Den Haag.
